On June 24th, the National Science and Technology Award was announced at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. The scientific research project "Core Technology and Equipment for Precision Manufacturing of Large-Capacity Lithium-Ion Batteries" participated by EVE Power Co., Ltd. won the second class of National Science and Technology Progress Award. Dr. He Wei, President of Power Battery R&D Institute, attended the award ceremony as a project participant.
The National Science and Technology Progress Award, founded in 1984, is known as the highest honor for science and technology in China. It is one of the five national science and technology awards established by the State Council and aims to commend individuals and organizations that have made outstanding contributions in scientific and technological progress activities, stimulate the enthusiasm and creativity of scientific and technical workers.
This awarded project aims to solve the generic technical problems of large-capacity lithium-ion batteries in high-performance cell design, wide-width high-speed manufacturing, and long-range precise control. It created a new-structured cell design method for large-capacity batteries, broke through the wide-width high-speed manufacturing process, conquered the intelligent linkage precise control technology of liquid-solid long-range manufacturing, and developed a series of equipment, which was completely self-supporting and had been applied by enterprises, successfully established the global leading advantage of China in this field.
